The tan targeting reticle will flash red on enemy sightings (it always flashes green for allies regardless of range). With some experimentation on various terrorist hunts and co-op missions, the range statistic seems to be the "target acquisition" range for the fast firing stance (weapon drawn, but not in fine aim or scope view). Range Contrary to what you might think, this is not entirely reflective of the actual range of the weapon. Damage to the head seems to be 150 to 200% (almost any shot to the head will kill any player or A.I.). You start off with several good weapons (in fact, you can beat the game with the starting equipment) but you can unlock more for local (not Live) play as your gamertag comes across the various weapons in the campaign.
